These terms cover your use of Ticker. Plain English, no legalese tricks. If anything here is unclear, email hello@trytickerapp.com.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Ticker, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What Ticker is

Ticker is a live productivity ticker. It lets you watch events from your stack on a calm always-on line that sits across a browser tab, a dashboard, a status page, or pinned to your desktop. One quiet line, no popups, no badges.

3. Account requirements

• You must be at least 13 years old.
• You must use a real email address you can receive mail at. Magic-link sign-in does not work otherwise.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your email inbox secure.

4. Acceptable use

• No spamming, no abuse, and no illegal content in feed names or events.
• No scraping the service for competitive intelligence.
• No reverse-engineering the renderer. The renderer is locked and copyrighted.

5. Public Beta

• The service is in Public Beta. Things may break. Data could be lost. We will try not to, but no promises.
• Ticker is free during Beta. Paid tiers will arrive later with advance notice.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can delete your account at any time. See the Privacy Policy for how to do that.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided as is, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or fitness for any particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. That amount is currently zero, because Ticker is free.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Specific state jurisdiction is to be determined and will be updated here before paid tiers launch.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we will update the effective date at the top and notify active users by email before the change takes effect.
